On July 9, 2019, Chariot Companies’ hosted Scott Turner, White House Opportunity Zone Revitalization Council Executive Director and Joseph DeFelice, HUD Assistant Deputy Secretary for the Office of Field Policy and Management and Regional Administrator for the Mid-Atlantic region, among other represented federal agencies and community stakeholders for a reception discussing Opportunity Zones and Social Equity at the Union League of Philadelphia, PA. The discussion focused on how federal Opportunity Zone incentives can spur economic development while providing measurable social impact to transform low-wealth communities.
