Country club redevelopment project heads to Shreveport City Council


An ambitious plan to transform the former Shreveport Country Club into a new neighborhood faces one more hurdle – rezoning approval from the Shreveport City Council – and some people in the neighborhood remain skeptical.

Philadelphia-based Chariot Companies and Shreveport attorney Curtis Joseph have proposed a $240 million project that includes apartments, homes, shops, a hotel and a restaurant. They say they’ll salvage the existing back nine on the golf course for youth golf programs and clinics.
