The Metropolitan Planning Commission has approved a plan for a massive development around the old Shreveport Country Club.
Chariot is working on a redevelopment plan for the area. John Henry, owner of Chariot, says Shreveport is a great place that just needs "new energy and capital".
The plan does call for keeping 9 holes of the golf course. The total pricetag for the project is 240 million dollars. The development is expected to create 1200 temporary construction jobs and 200 permanent jobs.
